Christ’s wardrobe

Have you ever wondered about GOD having a wardrobe???

Yes, He does have a wardrobe. What is more fascinating is that HE wants us to use His choice of clothes for our day to day life.

Colossians:3:12-14(The Msg) says,

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.

I love the fact that the basic garment for our Spiritual dressing up is Love. It says NEVER BE WITHOUT IT.

How often do we make up our mind to love others the way GOD wants us to. It’s so easy to love those who love us, but what Jesus says is to love our enemies and to do good to those who persecute us.

Mathew: 5: 44,45,

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! 45. In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

So let’s go out of our way to try to love someone who’s been mean to us, maybe our spouse, friend, family member, neighbor, colleague or a stranger.

I have found out in my personal life that its very easy to be nice and kind to someone who has been the same way to us, but it takes real courage to be nice to a rude person or show love to someone who hates us. Today I encourage you to take up this as a challenge and with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT to try to love everyone by putting on the basic layer- LOVE.

May you have a love filled day and may you look pretty/handsome as well as fully covered up with GOD’s clothing.

GOD bless!

Spiritual Nuggets 4 U

Back in the days, when I was working as a Software Analyst I used to start my day at work by reading daily devotions followed by a small prayer. I really felt they were my energy boosters for that particular day. After I quit my job, I felt the LORD put this in my heart to start a blog for working professionals, students or stay at home moms like me to help them reflect on GOD's word each day. I hope and pray that GOD will speak to you personally through these blogs and you will be able to live your life for the glory of GOD. GOD bless, Alpha Arunesh
